Local photocopier supplier Smart Digital Business Solutions have recently donated an A1 plotter printer to Queen Elizabeth’s Academy through their strategic partnership with #WemakeICTPossible Digital Poverty Campaign.
Smart Digital Business Solutions work alongside The Musketeers CIC, the team behind #WemakeICTPossible, which is committed to tackling digital poverty in our area by providing ICT equipment and home-learning resources to those who desperately need help accessing digital learning across Mansfield & Ashfield. The #WeMakeICTPossible launched its second phase in August 2021 to broaden the campaign to ICT provision in schools and at home.
Smart Digital have made available a number of copying and printing devices for The Musketeers to make use of. Queen Elizabeth’s Design & Technology/Engineering and Photography Department have put the plotter which will give full colour ‘poster-sized printing’ a new lease of life to student learning, to good use.
Cory Crutchley, Teacher of Design & Technology/Engineering Lead said “this is a fantastic donation and will certainly help the students at Queen Elizabeth Academy. We want to offer our sincere thanks to Smart Digital and The Musketeers, for supporting the academy. The plotter will be used in a range of creative faculties and will aid students in creating large printouts up to size A1 of their photographed images. It will also help design and engineering students by printing out large engineering drawings that students work from to create their engineered products”.
